For His Glorious Beauty

Everyone wants their voice to be heard in some way. And not just heard but actually listened to. Because we all have a very deep and sometimes desperate desire to know that we matter. That we’re not just meaningless molecules wasting space and oxygen. So we write blogs and make vlogs and throw all kinds of content out into the world every second of every day in the hope that someone—anyone—will spend the time, effort, and energy to listen to us.

With all those voices vying for attention, why add to the cacophony?

For me, the answer is simple: I have experienced so, so, so much darkness and ugliness in my life but I don’t want that to be the end of my story. I want to show the world that Light and Beauty exist, and they exist in the truth of God . We are confronted with plenty of ugly every day and it becomes frighteningly easy to think that’s all there is to this life. I want to push back against that lie. I want people to see that while we can’t ignore the dark ugliness or pretend it doesn’t wreck people every second of every day, there is a beauty that shines brighter than all the darkness and all the ugliness. And that beauty is God, shown most stunningly through His Son, Jesus.

Thank you for spending your time with me, whether you read what I’ve written,* take a look at some of the things I’ve drawn, or listen to the music my husband and I have created. My prayer is that you will be inspired and challenged to think. But most of all, I hope that you will see the awesome, brilliant, dazzling beauty of God.

*Most of what you'll read in the Series section began life as a women's Bible study, so each entry posted will be like a chapter in a book. Not super quick reads like you'd find in a blog, but I hope you'll consider it worth the time and energy you devote to reading.
